R - Responsible
The person who does the work to complete the task. There can be multiple Responsible people.
A - Accountable
The person ultimately answerable for the task. There must be exactly one Accountable person for each task.
C - Consulted

I - Informed

RACI Matrix Best Practices
- •Every task needs exactly one Accountable person
This ensures clear ownership and decision-making authority.
- •Limit the number of Responsible roles
Too many cooks in the kitchen can lead to confusion and delays.
- •Be selective with Consulted roles
Consulting too many people can slow down decision-making.
- •Use the Informed role appropriately
Keep stakeholders informed, but don't overwhelm them with unnecessary details.
- •Review and update regularly
As projects evolve, responsibilities may shift. Keep your RACI matrix current.
- •Communicate the value of your RACI matrix
